- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tsp orange rind
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
Steep orange rind and diced ginger with boiling water and sugar until a syrup consistency is achieved.
Remove from heat and leave orange peels and ginger to taste – as short as 30 minutes as long as overnight.
Remove and discard ginger and orange rind.
