Absolutely. Our class is designed to be a fun and accessible experience for people of all skill levels, including those with no experience making drinks whatsoever. Our instructors provide guidance and direct instruction every step of the way, so you’ll always feel supported.

Yes. In fact, one of the most common things we hear at the end of our classes is, “Wow, I didn’t realize gin or whiskey could be this good.” 

Spirits on their own can be an acquired taste, especially when tasted neat. But cocktails transform them. By adding balance, sweetness, and freshness, cocktails make these spirits far more approachable and enjoyable. It’s one of the best ways to discover a new appreciation for them.

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed in and guided to your workstation. The experience begins with an introduction and tastings, followed by step-by-step instruction as you make three different cocktails. Light snacks like nuts and olives are included, and you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the tasting room afterward.

You’ll make three full cocktails. In addition, you’ll taste the spirits used in those drinks throughout the class.

You’ll absolutely be making your own drinks. Our instructors demonstrate each cocktail first and then guide you step by step as you make it yourself.

The class typically runs about 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Afterward, you’re welcome to stay, order food or drinks, and enjoy the views.

Yes. We offer non-alcoholic options for guests who prefer not to drink. We use non-alcoholic spirit alternatives and provide comparable mocktail versions so you can fully participate.

Yes. Our cocktail classes are a great fit for birthdays, group celebrations, and team-building events. The experience is naturally interactive and social, making it a fun way to bring people together.

Yes. We offer gift cards that make it easy to treat someone to a cocktail class experience. 

Weekday gift cards ($75) and weekend gift cards ($97) are available, and they cover the full cost of the class including tax. Gift cards can be redeemed for any available session.

Each ticket includes three full-sized cocktails, guided tastings, hands-on instruction, all tools and ingredients, and complimentary snacks like nuts and olives. You’re also welcome to stay and enjoy the tasting room after the class.

We are very flexible with rescheduling and are happy to move your booking to a future date at no additional cost if plans change.

For cancellations:

• 14+ days before: full refund
• 6–13 days before: 50% refund
• Within 5 days: non-refundable

If we need to reschedule a class due to operational needs, we’ll work with you to find a new date or provide a refund if needed.

Our cocktail classes take place at Gold Bar Distillery on Treasure Island, located at 1 Avenue of the Palms, Suite 167, San Francisco, CA 94130. The venue is accessible by car, rideshare, ferry, or public transportation.

Yes. There is a large parking lot directly in front of Building 1 with plenty of free parking available.

Yes, and we highly encourage it. You’re welcome to stay, order food, and enjoy additional cocktails while taking in the views.

Our Treasure Island venue accommodates 2 to 2,500 guests, with flexible floor plans for intimate dinners through to large-scale galas.
