Limited Edition Lunar New Year bottle featuring a beautiful Year of the Snake design on the bottle - comes with a red velvet gift bag. Shipping included on orders of $119+.

 

The snake design was created by Deyi (Robin) Zhao. Robin was born in Jilin, China, and came to the US when she was 9 years old. Her grandmother, Yumei Hou, had been in San Francisco for many years already and was the main carver for all of the SF Chinese New Year statues for nearly 30 years. When Robin and her father arrived in San Francisco, he got a job building the floats and Robin grew up helping paint and decorate the floats alongside her biological family as well as the other artists, who would grow to become her second family.

Custom engravings (as seen in the 3rd picture) are available. Engravings will be done on the side of the bottle.

Gold Bar® Original is a smooth, award-winning American whiskey distilled from 88% corn, 9% rye and 3% barley then double casked in Napa Valley Wine Barrels. Gentle body with notes of honey, red fruit and subtle spice. We source our base whiskies from distilleries across America, then finish them in Napa Valley wine barrels at our distillery in San Francisco, California for exceptional smoothness. Previously used French Oak wine barrels enhance the fruit notes of our whiskey, creating a delicious and highly approachable taste.

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE

Golden amber

NOSE

Burnt sugars and honeyed grains open to fresh orchard fruits and red berries.

PALATE

Bright and warming with soft sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. Subtle flavors of red fruits, baking spices, and gentle wood smoke.

FINISH

Smooth and clean with lingering vanilla sweetness.

A GOLDEN twist on a classic cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces GOLD BAR® Whiskey
  • 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 sugar cube
  • Orange peel for garnish

Steps

  1. Muddle sugar and bitters in bottom of a rocks glass
  2. Add large ice cube and whiskey, stir to combine
  3. Rim edge of glass with orange peel then use as garnish
